Thanks to everyone for all of the support as I continue on this crazy ride. One of the biggest challenges (and the largest expense) on this journey has been transportation. My apartment is not accessible, and so I can’t get in and out of the house without assistance.
The only way has been to hire medical transport to get me to my doctor and specialist appointments, (and believe me, we looked EVERYWHERE for options). It’s like $320 every time and this is where a big chunk of your donated funds have been going. I’m immensely grateful to everyone who has donated to and shared the fundraising campaign.
These are a few shots from trips to the Fracture Clinic, with great crews taking care of me, carting me to and fro. The news from the Fracture Clinic is good–the bone is healing well with no complications and I’m expected to make a full recovery over the course of the next year. Already I am doing so much better, and a great part of the reason for that is YOU.
Huge thanks to everyone, with special thanks to my sister, Anne, for all of her assistance in finding and booking the medical transport folks.
